Amateur Radio with RAYNET has been a great joy for me especially when my son also became licensed. The RAYNET side allows me to combine interests like mountain bikes, and hill walking even the odd canoe. The problem with radio is interference and often not the fault of the transmitter for guidance the DTI as it was then published the Guide to TV interference. |
| Hill walking is something I have always done. And this is linked to my photography which started with a 120 and progressed to a SLR but due to costs of film now is reduced to a digital camera which although has a lower quality does allow me to take a lot of experimental shots which if they fail I can afford to wipe. | |
| Computers were first brought to my attention when my father bought me a Sinclar Spectrum. The my son and wife insisted I was to progress to an Amiga then finally the move to PC compatible. We have a number of computers at home all connected together with a hub and with a router to the internet using a broad band connection. | |
| My family have also introduced me to many more interests from archaeology to spinning wool. These include my family tree which I am trying to present on the internet. |
